Something I’ve heard that I always keep in mind now…

I don’t remember the quote but basically, the best conversationalists find themselves not needing to say much— the other person in the conversation finds him or herself pouring out their own stories and personal life instead

…that’s when you know you’re an excellent conversationalist.  When people trust you enough, find you interesting enough and reliable enough, find that you care enough, they will pour out their inner feelings, thoughts, secrets, and stories.

Just some basics…
-Ask questions
-Compliment when you mean it
-Don’t blab on and on
-Listen and care
